My interest in creating Artist's Books began with an obsession for old photo albums found in thrift stores. Holding images of peoples' treasured moments from their family celebrations, vacations and travels, they were seldom completely filled leaving several blank pages. The first book exhibited, titled Vanishing Points, used photographs from my own files of places that or things that had disappeared—torn down, chopped down, removed for new development or lost to environmental issues. Using the old photographic printing-out papers unfixed, the images would slowly darken in the gallery, eventually reversing to negatives, speaking to the loss of treasured places and things. From there I began creating artist's book format more frequently for specific projects.
